This strand is for experienced AVID Elementary site administrators and central office administrators overseeing the implementation of AVID Elementary within active AVID Elementary sites. As instructional leaders, AVID Elementary administrators will build upon their experience with the AVID Schoolwide Domains with the goal of moving AVID implementation forward toward AVID certification. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of how Instruction, Systems, Leadership, and Culture impact schoolwide student success. Skills and tools necessary to lead change and maintain implementation will also be explored in conversations and activities.
This strand requires all participants to have their own device or laptop that can connect to the internet. Participants must bring an acceptable device, power cord, and earbuds/headphones with them to the strand. If a district-issued device is being used, be sure to log in to the device on the district network before attending. Device software and web browser need to be up to date.
