This strand is designed for K–12 principals who have completed a minimum of two leadership strands. The focus of this strand is to deepen the principal’s leadership skills for accelerating AVID Schoolwide and sustaining the AVID College and Career Readiness System. This strand will accomplish these objectives through professional learning, collaborative discourse, and sharing of best practices to continue to shape the roles of site principals as the learning leaders of instruction at their sites. The strand includes updates on AVID curriculum and initiatives to meet the needs of site principals.
This strand requires all participants to have their own device or laptop that can connect to internet access. Participants must bring an acceptable device, power cord, and earbuds/headphones with them to the strand. If a district-issued device is being used, be sure to log in to the device on the district network before attending. Device software and web browser need to be up to date.
