Instructional Coaches and Elective Educators is designed for grades 6–12 instructional coaches and elective educators (e.g., art, world languages, music). This training is not for teachers of the AVID Elective course. Educators will participate in Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading (WICOR®) instructional strategies through a hands-on approach to ensure students’ engagement, access to rigor, and college success. This experience will provide tools to connect with a diverse population of learners. Participants will engage in both synchronous and semi-synchronous learning. All strategies, digital activities, and digital tools experienced can be leveraged in face-to-face or virtual learning environments.
